At first glance, you will witness the beautiful shiny black McIntosh Audio Equipment, with back-illuminated green control text, black screen printed glass front panel and retro-looking silver dials. This is no ordinary Amplifier, Processor or Audio Video Player. More importantly, the McIntosh equipment performs so perfectly, the sound is even more amazing than its looks. McIntosh uses the legendary design elements
of over 55 years of experience, combined with flawless, modern and clean computer-aided, mechanical and electrical engineering. The result is super low noise, almost immeasurable distortion, cooler operation, very clean sound while delivering full power to either 4 OR 8 ohm loudspeakers.

McIntosh also offers Audio Video Players that play anything: CD's, SACD, DVD, DVD-Audio, CD-R and CD-RW discs with ease. The real beauty of McIntosh's transport mechanism (particularly on the MVP861 A/V Player) is its ability to spin Cds at 4 times the usual speed and DVDs at 2 times the usual speed. The MVP861 stores data from a disc into an 8MB buffer memory, allowing the laser multiple passes to extract all data
including scratches and smudges. This brings formerly unplayable discs back to life for flawless playback.

McIntosh Loudspeakers implement five tweeters in each speaker, allowing their phase relationships to adjust so that the array acts as a high frequency point source with a broad dispersion pattern. Combined with McIntosh's exceedingly precise crossover and Woofer and Midrange motor structures using LD/HP technology, all McIntosh speakers are suited to play with precision, lower distortion, higher efficiency and beautiful imaging. All of the McIntosh speakers we feature
(except subwoofers) are floorstanding or wall mountable. The XLS320 2-way Loudspeaker can be stand mounted, on-wall mounted, in-wall mounted or bookshelf mounted. Grille covers are black with optional trim colors: Brushed Champagne, Red Cherry, Natural Cherry and Black Ash.
